Stilton Week 2026 Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
1.1 Stilton Week 2026 is promoted and administered by Artichoke Media Limited, company number 14769147, whose registered office is at Jubilee House, 92 Lincoln Road, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, PE1 2SN (“Artichoke Media” or the “Promoter”).
1.2 Stilton Week is a promotional campaign celebrating Stilton and encouraging consumer awareness, trial and sales through independent food retailers.
1.3 Questions about Stilton Week, campaign materials or participation should be directed to the contact details provided on the Stilton Week website.
2. Campaign Period
2.1 Stilton Week will take place from 10–18 October 2026 (“the Campaign Period”).
2.2 Applications to receive a funded retailer campaign kit are subject to availability and may close once all available kits have been allocated.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Applications are open to independent food retailers operating in the United Kingdom that:
a. sell cheese or other speciality food products to consumers;
b. are able to participate in Stilton Week during the Campaign Period; and
c. provide the information reasonably required to administer their participation.
3.2 Retailers do not need to stock Stilton from any particular dairy in order to participate in Stilton Week.
3.3 The Promoter reserves the right to decline applications that do not meet the campaign requirements or where the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate.
4. Applications and Selection
4.1 Retailers may apply through the application form on the Stilton Week website.
4.2 The application may ask retailers which Stilton producer or producers they currently stock. This information is collected to help understand participation in the campaign and does not require the retailer to change supplier.
4.3 A limited number of funded retailer kits are available. Submission of an application does not guarantee that a retailer will receive a kit.
4.4 When allocating kits, the Promoter may consider factors including location, suitability, ability to participate during Stilton Week and commitment to supporting the campaign.
5. Retailer Campaign Kits
5.1 Approved retailers may receive a complimentary Stilton Week campaign kit containing promotional materials to support their participation.
5.2 Kits may also contain complimentary Stilton for customer sampling. Where sampling cheese is supplied by a campaign partner or producer, the producer will be identified on the product.
5.3 The contents of kits may vary and are subject to availability.
5.4 Campaign materials and sampling products are provided for use in connection with Stilton Week and must not be resold.
6. Retailer Participation
6.1 Participating retailers are encouraged to make reasonable efforts to:
a. display supplied Stilton Week promotional materials;
b. create an engaging Stilton Week display;
c. offer customers Stilton samples where appropriate;
d. promote Stilton Week to their customers; and
e. share their participation through social media or other channels, using #StiltonWeek where appropriate.
6.2 Participation in Stilton Week does not require a retailer to stop stocking, replace or change its existing Stilton supplier.
6.3 Retailers remain responsible for complying with all applicable food safety, hygiene, allergen and sampling requirements within their premises.
7. Retailer Award
7.1 Where a Stilton Week Retailer Award is offered, participating retailers may be considered based on factors such as creativity, customer engagement, merchandising and support for Stilton Week.
7.2 Details of the award, judging process and prize will be published on the Stilton Week website.
7.3 The Promoter's decision in relation to the award will be final.
8. Campaign Content
8.1 Retailers may choose to submit photographs, video, comments or other material relating to their participation in Stilton Week.
8.2 By submitting this material, the retailer confirms that it has the right to provide it and grants Artichoke Media permission to reproduce, edit and use it for the purposes of administering, reporting on and promoting Stilton Week and related editorial coverage.
8.3 Where identifiable individuals appear in submitted content, the retailer is responsible for obtaining any permissions reasonably required for that content to be used.
9. Changes and Availability
9.1 The Promoter may make reasonable changes to the campaign, campaign materials, dates, retailer kits or associated activities where necessary.
9.2 The Promoter will not be responsible where campaign materials, sampling products or other elements cannot be supplied because of circumstances outside its reasonable control.
10. General
10.1 Participation in Stilton Week constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions creates an obligation for a participating retailer to enter into a commercial relationship with any Stilton producer or campaign partner.
10.3 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
